One-day Summit on: Putting the "B" in LGBT: Saturday May 30th 2009 from 11:00am - 6:30pm
Get a jump on Pride Month with a Saturday full of Free Bisexual Events! In the afternoon there will be a wide variety of speakers and panel discussions featuring well known bisexual, gay, lesbian and queer-identified people including Bisexual Super-Stars Robyn Ochs and Dr. Loraine Hutchins, everyone's favorite bisexual TV Journalist, LOGO's own Chagmion Antoine among many others, discussing "how the ‘B’ fits into LGBT".
“Many people aren’t quite sure how the ‘B’ fits into LGBT,” says Bruce Anderson, ED of the LGBT Community Center “as a result, mention of bisexual people often goes missing from discussion of LGBT rights issues like marriage equality, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and ENDA in press releases, media coverage and political speeches.”
By holding this summit, organizers hope to develop a consensus between LGBT rights organizations, journalists and political officials that inclusion of bisexual people in the discussion of LGBT issues is necessary. Click Here to see the full Program.
